Samsung Galaxy S27 series leaks reveal major redesign

Leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series suggest a significant design overhaul and the introduction of a new Pro model. CAD renders indicate that both the S27 Ultra and the new S27 Pro may feature a large, rectangular camera bar, moving away from the individual lens rings used in previous generations. The S27 Pro is expected to be a more compact premium option with a 6.6-inch display, though it will likely lack the S Pen support found in the Ultra model.

Technical specifications for the S27 Ultra suggest improvements in battery capacity and durability. Samsung is reportedly testing silicon-carbon battery technology, with prototypes ranging between 5,700 and 6,000 mAh, though some reports mention experiments with even larger 7,000 mAh units that required removing the S Pen. Additionally, Samsung and Corning are rumored to be developing a self-healing coating for Gorilla Armor glass to automatically repair minor scratches.

The series is expected to utilize high-end hardware, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and potentially new magnetic charging capabilities similar to MagSafe.
