Samsung Galaxy S27 series to add Privacy Display to all models and 16MP square front cameras

Samsung is planning to equip every model in its upcoming Galaxy S27 flagship line – S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra – with the Privacy Display technology that narrows the viewing angle to protect on‑screen content. The move marks a shift from the previous Ultra‑only rollout and follows Samsung’s decision to use only its own display panels, abandoning a contemplated partnership with BOE.

Leaks also indicate that the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will receive a new 16 megapixel square‑format front‑camera sensor, enabling intelligent framing features similar to Apple’s Center Stage. The sensor could allow automatic cropping and tracking for video calls and selfies without rotating the device. The base S27 and S27+ are expected to keep the existing 12 MP front camera.

Additional rumored upgrades include a 50 MP telephoto and 50 MP ultrawide rear camera on the Pro and Ultra models, and the continuation of Samsung’s typical segmentation strategy, with the Pro offering a compact ultra‑premium experience while the Ultra retains the highest specifications. The Galaxy S27 series is slated for an early‑2027 launch.
