Samsung Galaxy S27 series leaks reveal major design and chip updates
Leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming 2027 flagship lineup, specifically the Galaxy S27 series, suggest major hardware and design shifts. Internal benchmarks for the Exynos 2700 chip reportedly show it outperforming Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in CPU, GPU, and AI tasks, potentially reducing Samsung's reliance on external suppliers.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to undergo a radical redesign, moving away from individual camera rings toward a horizontal camera module. This change, which some observers note resembles Apple’s iPhone design, may be intended to accommodate a larger battery (estimated at 5700 mAh) and integrated Qi2 magnetic charging support.
Reports also indicate that the S27 series may expand to include more models, such as a potential Galaxy S27 Pro, and could offer the Ultra in two different sizes to provide more consumer choice. Software updates are expected to include One UI 9.5 and Galaxy AI 2.0, alongside new features like satellite connectivity for premium models.
