Samsung Galaxy S27 series leaks reveal new Pro model and chip production
Leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series, expected in early 2027, indicate a significant expansion of the flagship lineup. The series is projected to include four models: the Galaxy S27, S27+, a new Galaxy S27 Pro, and the S27 Ultra.
Samsung Display has reportedly begun mass production of AMOLED panels, targeting shipments of 47 to 48 million units, a 10 percent increase over the previous generation. The new Pro model is expected to feature a 6.47-inch display, while the Ultra may feature a 6.89-inch panel. Both the Pro and Ultra models are rumored to include a Privacy Display feature.
On the hardware side, mass production of the Exynos 2700 chipset is reportedly underway. While the Exynos chip may power models in South Korea and Europe, variants in the US and China are expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The Exynos 2700 is built on a 2nm process and aims for improved efficiency and performance.
Design leaks suggest the S27 Ultra may adopt a horizontal camera module to improve stability when placed on flat surfaces. However, rising component costs for NAND Flash and LPDDR6 memory may lead to price increases across the series, with some estimates suggesting base prices could rise by approximately $74 to $100.
