Users of Samsung Galaxy smartphones are reporting technical issues with the YouTube application, where videos frequently freeze or become unresponsive. The problem appears to occur most often when a user starts a video, navigates away from the app, and then returns to the video.

While the issue is notably prevalent among owners of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, reports indicate it is not exclusive to foldable devices, as users of the S26 Ultra have also experienced similar freezing. The problem has reportedly been occurring for several weeks, though it does not happen every time a user attempts to watch a video.
