Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ design leak reveals Dimensity 9500 chip and $1.2k price

A Safety Korea certification filing has leaked the first real image of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12+. The tablet retains the flat‑edged, minimal‑bezel design of recent Tab S models, with the front camera still housed in the upper bezel rather than a punch‑hole. The filing lists model numbers SM‑X840 (Wi‑Fi) and SM‑X846N (5G for Korea and select markets).

The device will be powered by MediaTek’s 3 nm Dimensity 9500 processor, a generational upgrade over the Dimensity 9400+ used in the Tab S11 series, promising up to 32 % higher single‑core performance, double the AI compute and significant power‑efficiency gains. A 10 500‑10 600 mAh battery, Android 17 with One UI 9, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and an IP68 rating are also expected.

Samsung is skipping the base 11‑inch Tab S12, offering only the 12.4‑inch Tab S12+ and the 14.6‑inch Tab S12 Ultra. The Plus model is projected to launch in September 2026 after the Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July, with an estimated price between $1,100 and $1,200, raising the floor price of Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup by roughly $300.
