2026 Mobile Device Launches: Samsung, Xiaomi, Honor and Ulefone unveil new models

Samsung announced several improvements to its upcoming Galaxy Z lineup, citing European EPREL tests that show up to a 25% longer battery life on a single charge compared with previous models. The company also previewed the Galaxy S26 FE, slated for a September 2026 launch with an Exynos 2500 processor and high‑refresh‑rate display. At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, highlighting a 4800 mAh battery in the standard Fold and a 5000 mAh unit in the Ultra, plus upgraded camera systems and a new Exynos 2600 chip for the Polish market.

Separately, leaks of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra show a design largely unchanged from its predecessor but with a new processor and a 14.6‑inch 120 Hz display. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 17 series received multiple updates: a sale date for India was reported as 11 August, while the Chinese launch of the Redmi Note 17 5G featured a 7‑inch OLED panel, an 8000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. An EPREL‑certified Redmi 17 model was also highlighted for its 7500 mAh battery offering up to 73 hours of use. Honor introduced the Magic V6 foldable phone, boasting a 6600 mAh silicon‑carbon battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and IP68/69 water resistance. Finally, Ulefone launched the Tab A12 Pro in Poland, equipped with a 12.2‑inch IPS 90 Hz display, Unisoc T7300 processor, 8 GB RAM and a 9000 mAh battery.
