Samsung set to debut Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and new foldables on July 22

Samsung will host its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026 in London, where it plans to launch the next generation of its foldable smartphones. The lineup includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the larger‑screen Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. The Fold 8 Ultra is rumored to retain the book‑style form factor of the Fold 7 but adds a 5,000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, 12 GB RAM, a 200 MP main camera and a starting price of €2,199 (about $2,099). The regular Fold 8 is expected to feature a wider inner display and a battery that lasts roughly 20 % longer than the Fold 7. The Flip 8 keeps the same design as its predecessor, uses Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor, and gains 45 W wired charging, with prices rising by €100‑180 in Europe. Leaked prototype units of the Ultra have appeared on resale sites for $13,000. Pre‑order incentives from Samsung and carriers could offer up to $1,230 in savings. Battery‑life tests from the EU EPREL database show the Fold 8 Ultra lasting about 25 % longer than the Fold 7.
