Samsung Galaxy Watch and Microsoft Project Solara AI devices unveiled for 2026

Samsung announced that its next‑generation Galaxy Watch, equipped with AI‑driven health monitoring, will be introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July 2026 in London and streamed live to Hong Kong. The wearable will run continuously in the background, offering enhanced battery life and more precise tracking of sleep, activity and rest, and will integrate with Samsung’s AI ecosystem to provide proactive health insights.

At Microsoft’s Build 2026 conference, the company demonstrated Project Solara, a suite of enterprise‑focused AI hardware concepts that includes a wearable AI badge and a desktop‑style control hub. Built on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) and powered by Azure AI services, the badge combines a screen, camera, microphone, speaker, 5G connectivity and biometric authentication to enable secure, on‑the‑spot access to workplace tools such as patient records or inventory systems. The desktop hub functions similarly to a smart‑home hub but is tailored for corporate environments, offering dynamic, task‑oriented interfaces without a traditional graphical UI.
