Samsung unveils Galaxy S27 Ultra with 5700 mAh silicon‑carbon battery and 200 MP camera

Samsung is preparing to launch its next flagship, the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The device will feature a silicon‑carbon (Si‑C) battery with a capacity of 5,700 mAh, a move aimed at ending the brand's long‑standing battery‑life complaints. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, paired with 12–16 GB of RAM and LPDDR5X/UFS 4.0 storage. The camera system is set to include a 200 MP primary sensor, three 50 MP auxiliary lenses and a 5× optical zoom telephoto module, all housed behind a rectangular island design. The phone will sport a 6.9‑inch 1440p AMOLED display.

The related Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to share the 200 MP main sensor but will use a smaller 1.2 MP telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom, balancing performance and size. Both models will continue Samsung's use of advanced silicon‑carbon battery technology to improve energy density while managing expansion risks.

In parallel, Samsung's Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has been reviewed. It adopts a Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a titanium case available in silver and gray. The watch's Super AMOLED screen is brighter than its predecessor, reaching up to 5,000 nits, and retains the three‑button layout with an orange‑highlighted quick‑access button for use in extreme conditions.
