Samsung Galaxy Watch9 and Ultra 2 revealed through regulatory filings

Samsung is preparing to launch its next generation of smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Regulatory filings in China have confirmed the existence of these models, identified by the codes SM-L3550 and SM-L7150.

The Galaxy Watch9 features hardware improvements such as the Snapdragon SW6100 Wear Elite chip, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It will be available in two sizes: a 44mm version with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display and a 40mm version with a 1.34-inch SuperAMOLED display. Both models include sapphire crystal and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Health features are enhanced via an improved BioActive sensor capable of measuring skin temperature, blood oxygen, heart rate, and blood pressure, alongside sleep apnea detection through AI-driven vital sign analysis. The device also integrates Gemini AI to assist with user queries and actions.

Despite these advancements, regulatory documents indicate that charging speeds will remain at 10W (5V/2A), showing no increase from previous generations. Battery capacities vary, with the 44mm model expected to feature a 445 mAh battery, while the premium Ultra 2 variant is rumored to have a significantly larger 784 mAh capacity.
