Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 to launch with two different processors by market

Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Z Flip 8 foldable smartphone with two distinct chipsets depending on the region. One version will use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor, while other markets will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The company has previously mixed processors across its flagship line‑ups, and analysts say the split aims to balance production costs – the Exynos chip is reportedly more expensive to manufacture, whereas Qualcomm offered more favorable pricing.

According to the reports, North‑American customers – including the United States and Canada – as well as buyers in China and Japan are expected to get the Snapdragon‑powered model. European markets, India and South Korea are slated for the Exynos variant. The device is also rumored to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, though its camera system will stay unchanged. Samsung has set a launch date of 22 July for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, though it has not officially confirmed the dual‑processor plan.
