Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 to Offer Dual‑Chip Options

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 8 at its Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2026. Leaked details indicate the foldable will be sold with two different processors: Samsung’s in‑house Exynos 2600 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. The chipset choice is likely to depend on the market, with Snapdragon models anticipated for regions such as North America and Exynos models for other areas. Samsung is said to have opted for the dual‑chip strategy to manage costs after the Exynos price rose, while Qualcomm offered a more competitive price for its flagship chip.

The device is rumored to feature a 6.9‑inch QHD+ foldable OLED display, a 4.1‑inch cover screen, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 50 MP primary camera with additional ultrawide and front sensors, and a 4,300 mAh battery supporting 25 W fast charging. It will run Android 17‑based One UI 9.0, with a promise of seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, alongside 5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity. The previous Z Flip 7 shipped only with an Exynos 2500 processor, making the dual‑chip approach a notable shift for the series.
