Samsung plans dual-chip Galaxy Z Flip 8 with Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite

Samsung is reportedly preparing a region‑specific chipset strategy for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8. Leaks from tipsters such as Lanzuk and SmartPrix suggest the phone will ship with its in‑house Exynos 2600 processor in Asian and European markets, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be used in the United States and possibly other regions. The shift is attributed to the high production cost of the 2 nm Exynos 2600 and a "favorable price" offered by Qualcomm for the Snapdragon chip.

The dual‑chip approach mirrors Samsung’s recent rollout on the Galaxy S26 series, where Snapdragon powered U.S. models and Exynos served South Korea and other territories. Aside from the chipset change, the Flip 8 is expected to retain a similar battery capacity and camera system to its predecessor, with a slimmer folded profile and a 6.9‑inch main display. Samsung is slated to confirm specifications at its Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2026.
