Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 battery capacity revealed, up to 51 hours runtime

European EPREL data shows the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will use a 4,800 mAh battery delivering about 49 hours and 10 minutes of mixed‑use runtime, while the larger Fold 8 Ultra will carry a 5,000 mAh pack and reach roughly 51 hours. Compared with the previous Fold 7, the new models gain around nine hours of battery life – an improvement of more than 20%.

Ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung also hinted at broader upgrades to its foldable line, including thinner bodies, a new Flex Hinge with zero‑gap design, Ultra‑Thin Glass for stronger screens, and IPX8 water resistance. These changes build on the company’s seven‑year development of foldable technology and set the stage for the upcoming launch of the Z Fold 8 series and related devices such as the Z Flip 8.
