Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 home screen bug receives software fix

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 users have reported a software bug causing home screen icons to overlap, drift from their assigned grid positions, or become stuck in the area corresponding to the device's internal fold. Some users noted that icons could become unselectable once they moved into the central crease area, and manual reorganization or locking the home layout failed to prevent the issue from recurring.

A member of the Good Lock support team confirmed the issue, attributing it to the Home Up module within the Good Lock suite rather than the core One UI software. The glitch is specifically linked to the DIY Home function, which allows for non-standard icon placement.

To resolve the problem, users are advised to update the Home Up module to version 18.0.00.36 via the Galaxy Store. After the update is installed, users must manually rearrange their icons using the Home Screen Edit mode to restore their preferred layout.
