Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 to unveil Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 and AI upgrades
Samsung will hold its Galaxy Unpacked showcase on July 22, 2026 in London, United Kingdom. The event is set to launch the next generation of its foldable lineup: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, a higher‑spec Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Leaked specifications indicate the Fold series will use a wider 4:3‑ratio inner screen, an improved hinge, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips and cameras ranging from a dual‑50 MP system on the base model to a 200 MP sensor on the Ultra. Battery capacities are expected at 4,800 mAh (Fold 8) and 5,000 mAh (Ultra). The Flip 8 will retain its clamshell design with modest upgrades to battery life, performance and AI‑assisted photography. Pricing leaks show the Z Fold 8 starting at about $1,899 in the United States and €1,999 in Europe, while the Ultra version may reach $2,099 (US) and €2,199 (EU). Samsung will also introduce One UI 9 and expanded Galaxy AI features across smartphones, wearables and forthcoming Android XR smart glasses. Pre‑registration promotions in Brazil offer discounts of up to R$2,000. Rumors also suggest the Flip line could be discontinued after the Z Flip 8, reflecting a strategic shift toward the Fold form factor.
