Samsung insurance affiliates launch new senior and life-cycle health products

Samsung Life Insurance and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance have launched new health insurance products designed to expand coverage for senior citizens and life-cycle-specific risks.

Samsung Life Insurance is introducing revised senior health insurance products, including the ‘Samsung Senior Representative Health Insurance Comprehensive Coverage Type’ and the ‘LTC Integrated Treatment Type’. The updated comprehensive plan adds coverage for pneumonia, including diagnosis, hospitalization, and intensive care, using the ‘CURB-65’ scale to determine coverage amounts based on severity. It also includes coverage for robotic knee replacement surgery. The LTC Integrated Treatment Type is designed to cover medical expenses following a long-term care rating of grades 1 to 5, covering services such as home care, nursing hospital stays, and rehabilitation.

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has released ‘THE FIT’, a health insurance product that expands coverage beyond cancer and circulatory diseases to include liver, lung, and kidney diseases. The product is organized into four modules: health, long-term care, driver, and housing. It covers the entire treatment process from initial testing and medication to surgery and recovery. Additionally, the plan offers health management services such as gym support, blood sugar management, and weight management, as well as service vouchers for hospital escorts and home care for those with severe illnesses.
