Samsung introduces AI-powered laundry solutions

Samsung has introduced new laundry solutions utilizing artificial intelligence to automate washing processes and optimize resource consumption. During an event in São Paulo, the company showcased the Samsung WD13FG washer-dryer and the Bespoke AI Laundry set, which includes the WF90F washer and DV90F dryer.

These appliances use AI and sensors to analyze load weight, fabric type, and soil levels. The technology, such as AI Ecobubble, adjusts washing parameters and water usage automatically. Additionally, sensors monitor water turbidity to estimate dirt levels, allowing the machines to adjust the amount of detergent and softener dispensed via an automatic dispenser.

When choosing between laundry configurations, factors such as space, cycle time, and capacity are critical. Front-loading washer-dryer combos are noted for their space-saving benefits in apartments without balconies, though they often have longer cycles. Top-loading machines are typically faster and better suited for large families requiring high-volume, frequent washing.
