Artificial intelligence expands across education, healthcare, and consumer sectors

Artificial intelligence is seeing widespread integration across various sectors in Vietnam, ranging from education and professional training to consumer electronics and healthcare.

In education, the Ministry of Education and Training is considering making AI an official subject in the national gifted student examinations following Vietnam's success at the 2026 International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, universities are seeing record-high entrance scores for AI programs, reflecting both high demand and intense competition.

In the consumer market, Samsung is integrating the Vision AI Companion (VAC) into its new AI TV lineup, allowing users to learn languages and new skills like cooking or yoga through interactive voice assistance. In the medical field, specialists at Pensilia Clinic are utilizing AI as a personal assistant to analyze skin data and personalize dermatological treatments, though experts emphasize that AI remains a tool to support, rather than replace, medical professionals.

Business and governance are also adapting; Andon Labs conducted a trial using Anthropic’s Claude to manage a market, revealing challenges in autonomous decision-making and management efficiency. Additionally, local digital transformation forces in Ho Chi Minh City are undergoing training to master AI tools for administrative tasks and data security.
