LG and Samsung expand AI-driven smart home and energy-efficient appliance portfolios

Major consumer electronics manufacturers LG and Samsung are expanding their focus on AI-integrated and energy-efficient smart home ecosystems.

LG Electronics is rolling out advanced energy-saving technologies across its broader appliance portfolio, including laundry, refrigerator, and dishwasher lines. The company aims to make high-efficiency performance, such as washing machines that exceed A-grade requirements by up to 70 percent, a standard feature rather than a premium differentiator.

Samsung is heavily promoting its Bespoke AI and Vision AI lines. In Saudi Arabia, the company has opened pre-orders for the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, an all-in-one unit designed to manage washing and drying with AI-driven fabric recognition and energy management via SmartThings. In Kenya, Samsung is hosting the ‘Connected Living Experience’ in Nairobi malls to demonstrate how Galaxy devices, TVs, and appliances work together as an integrated ecosystem.

In Argentina, Samsung launched its 2026 Vision AI television lineup, featuring Micro RGB and OLED technologies integrated with conversational AI. Additionally, in the United States, Samsung Electronics America has partnered with Smartify Media to launch Samsung VXT Ads, allowing commercial display owners to access a national programmatic advertising marketplace through the Samsung VXT content management system.
