Samsung launches Galaxy A08 with 6,000mAh battery
Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A08, the latest entry in its budget-friendly Galaxy A series. The device features a 6,000mAh battery, an upgrade from the 5,000mAh battery found in the previous Galaxy A07. To accommodate the larger battery, the phone is slightly thicker at 8.0mm, though its physical dimensions remain identical to its predecessor.
The Galaxy A08 includes an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, offering improved dust protection over the previous model's IP54 rating. It ships with Android 17 and Samsung’s One UI 9, with a commitment to six years of Android and security updates through 2032.
In Malaysia, the device went on sale on September 25, 2026, priced at RM899 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. In India, leaks suggest the Galaxy A08 4G may launch at approximately ₹18,999 for a 4GB/64GB variant, alongside potential rebranded versions, the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08, priced around ₹16,999.
