Samsung launches Galaxy A27 5G in Nepal and reverses Galaxy M47 price hike in India

Samsung announced the Galaxy A27 5G for the Nepal market, featuring a 6.7‑inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, triple‑camera system and a 5000 mAh battery. The device is priced at Rs 55,999 for the 6 GB/128 GB version and Rs 69,999 for the 8 GB/512 GB model, with a 24‑month EMI option and up to 120 GB of free Ncell data. Senior Director Pranaya Ratna Sthapit said the launch reflects Samsung’s effort to ‘democratise AI’ and bring advanced features to more users.

In India, Samsung partially rolled back a recent price increase on the Galaxy M47. After a brief hike of up to INR 8,000, the phone is again listed on Amazon at its launch prices of INR 25,999 for the 6 GB/128 GB variant, INR 28,999 for 8 GB/128 GB and INR 33,999 for 8 GB/256 GB. The company has not explained the original hike, which may have stemmed from rising memory‑chip costs or a pricing error.
