Samsung unveils Galaxy S26 FE with One UI 9 and Galaxy AI

Samsung Electronics has officially announced the Galaxy S26 FE, the first device in the Galaxy S26 series to launch with the One UI 9 interface based on Android 17. The smartphone is positioned as a high-end experience at a more accessible price point, starting at approximately $700 or 799 euros depending on the region.

Key technical specifications include the Exynos 2500 3nm processor, an 8GB RAM configuration, and a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits peak brightness. The device features a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It is powered by a 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.

A major focus of the launch is the integration of Galaxy AI. New software features include My FanCam, which automatically tracks and centers subjects in videos; Photo Assist, which allows for image editing via natural language commands; and Nightography for enhanced low-light photography. Samsung has also committed to seven years of operating system and security updates for the device.
