Samsung launches Galaxy S26 health program in Vietnam
Samsung Electronics and Vietnam’s Ministry of Health announced a joint program in June 2026 to promote proactive, digital health monitoring for Vietnamese citizens. The initiative centers on the Galaxy S26 smartphone and Galaxy Watch8 smartwatch, using Samsung Health and Galaxy AI to collect personal health data, offer daily insights and suggest lifestyle adjustments.
The scheme aligns with the Vietnamese Party’s Resolution 72, which emphasizes a shift from treatment‑focused care to preventive health and the digitisation of the health system. Features include the Watch8’s Vitals sensor, which tracks heart rate, heart‑rate variability, respiration rate, skin temperature and blood‑oxygen levels during sleep, and a new antioxidant index that measures carotenoid levels on the skin. Samsung aims to make continuous health tracking accessible across the life‑cycle, supporting national goals of reducing lifestyle‑related non‑communicable diseases.
