Samsung launches Galaxy Watch 9 smartwatch
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Watch 9, its latest mainline smartwatch. The device maintains a 'squircle' design, featuring a circular dial within a slightly curved square profile. It is available in 40mm and 44mm models.
The 44mm version features a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480x480 pixels and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. For durability, the watch holds 5ATM, IP68, and MIL-STD-810H certifications, making it resistant to water, pressure, and extreme temperatures.
Under the hood, the smartwatch utilizes a dedicated Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite chip to power Samsung’s WearOS-based OneUI interface. While the device offers a functional and aesthetic experience, reports note that battery life remains an area of disappointment.
