Samsung launches Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with enhanced durability

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, the second generation of its high-performance, rugged smartwatch series. The new model features significant hardware upgrades, including a larger battery, a new processor, a brighter display, and a thinner, more ergonomic body compared to its predecessor.

Designed for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes, the device includes specialized features such as a Trail Run mode for tracking elevation and terrain, and a Nutrition Alert function to monitor hydration levels. The watch boasts enhanced durability with an IP69K rating for dust resistance and 10 ATM water resistance. Additionally, it features EN13319 certification for professional diving, with upcoming software support via an exclusive app developed in collaboration with diving brand Mares to track depth, time, and water temperature.

Despite the technical improvements, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 carries a premium price point, retailing at 18,490 CZK, which reflects increased manufacturing costs for components like memory chips.
