Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra series

Samsung has expanded its foldable lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy Z Fold8 series, featuring two distinct models: the standard Galaxy Z Fold8 and the high-end Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 adopts a new, more compact form factor designed to be shorter and wider than previous generations, resembling a passport when folded. It features a 4:3 aspect ratio on the main display and weighs 201 grams, making it lighter than previous models. The device utilizes Advanced Armor Aluminum and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 for durability.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra focuses on premium specifications, including a thinner profile of 8.9 mm when closed and a massive 8-inch internal Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It features a new Armor FlexHinge and a titanium-reinforced screen construction that significantly reduces the visibility of the screen crease. The Ultra model also includes a 200MP camera system and reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

While the Z Fold8 series offers versatile screen ratios for content creation and multitasking, the Ultra model is positioned as a high-performance alternative to conventional flagships like the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
