Samsung launches One UI 8.5 for Galaxy Tab S and Galaxy A27 5G with expanded AI

Samsung announced the phased rollout of One UI 8.5 for its premium Galaxy Tab S tablets. The update brings deeper Gemini AI integration, a new floating‑window assistant, Circle to Search 3.0 capable of identifying multiple objects at once, AI‑driven photo editing, smart screenshot categorisation, and voice‑controlled Bixby 4.0. Additional productivity enhancements include native PDF/TXT viewing and tighter integration with native Galaxy apps such as Notes and Calendar.

In the same announcement, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A27 5G smartphone. It features a 6.7‑inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, and a 12 MP front camera. AI capabilities such as multi‑object Circle to Search, intelligent object eraser, and voice transcription in 22 languages are highlighted, alongside support for Google Gemini and Perplexity assistants. Samsung also pledged up to six generations of Android/One UI upgrades and six years of security updates, reinforced by Knox hardware protection.
