Amazon discounts and Google TV rise highlight 2026 consumer tech market

Amazon is running a series of promotions across multiple product categories in 2026. In Brazil, the retailer offers up to 12% off notebooks from Acer, Samsung and Lenovo, as well as discounted Fire TV Stick models and a selection of Samsung OLED and QLED televisions. Similar discount campaigns appear in Portugal, featuring a range of smartphones, tablets, monitors and accessories.

Samsung is also promoting its latest display technologies. The company unveiled Micro RGB and Mini LED TVs in Chile, touting AI‑driven color accuracy, real‑time content analysis and interactive features such as on‑screen actor identification. Its Vision AI‑enabled 55‑inch Mini LED M70H model adds local dimming and access to more than 2,700 free streaming channels via Samsung TV Plus.

In the United States, Google TV (and Android TV) has unexpectedly entered the top three streaming operating‑system market, driven by its integration across Chromecast devices and partner televisions, competitive pricing and a unified content interface.

Acer’s Nitro V15 gaming notebook, highlighted in Brazil, combines an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor with an RTX 4050 GPU, targeting users who prioritize graphics performance over portability.
