Samsung leaks upcoming Galaxy Glasses as Meta launches affordable Meta Glasses

A leak of Samsung's next wearable, dubbed Galaxy Glasses, surfaced online, revealing details of a companion app called Galaxy Glasses Manager that would configure, update and control the device. The leaked specifications suggest features such as photo capture, voice commands, AI‑driven assistance, notification reading, automatic software updates and location tracking. Integration with Samsung’s ecosystem is highlighted, allowing control via the Galaxy Watch and gesture input from the Galaxy Ring. Samsung is expected to showcase the product at the Galaxy Unpacked event slated for 22 July in London.

Meanwhile, Meta has officially launched its own line of smart glasses, Meta Glasses, priced at US$299. The devices are offered in 26 styles, include open‑ear speakers, multiple microphones, a front‑facing camera and more than eight hours of battery life. Integrated Meta AI, powered by the Muse Spark model, provides on‑device assistance, real‑time translation in 14 new languages and upcoming pedestrian navigation. The launch is global, though Brazil is not among the initial markets. The release intensifies competition in the wearable‑AR segment, which also includes recent offerings from Snap and other firms.
