Samsung Life Insurance hosts second Financial Consumer Day

Samsung Life Insurance held its second ‘Financial Consumer Day’ at the Samsung Financial Campus in Seocho, Seoul. The event, attended by approximately 200 employees, consultants, and customer panels, focused on strengthening a corporate culture centered on consumer protection and integrating customer feedback into business systems.

During the event, nine employees and consultants were named ‘Consumer Protection Heroes’ for their contributions to protecting customer rights and preventing financial damage. The company also highlighted the achievements of its Consumer Rights Protection Committee, an advisory body of external experts from academia, law, and medicine. Since 2018, the committee has reviewed 198 cases, with 118 resulting in actual decision-making changes; notably, 9 out of 10 proposals were accepted this year.

Samsung Life Insurance also unveiled the industry’s first ‘Voice of Customer White Paper,’ a comprehensive report detailing consumer feedback analysis and subsequent improvements to products and services. To extend these efforts to the public, the company will launch ‘Consumer Protection Week’ starting on the 18th. This includes operating voice phishing prevention booths at the Seoripul Music Festival in collaboration with the Seocho Police Station, as well as providing financial fraud prevention education for the elderly and visiting training for general agency (GA) partners.
