Samsung One UI 9.5 leaks reveal new design and features
Leaks from internal Samsung builds suggest that the upcoming One UI 9.5 update will introduce significant visual and functional changes. Based on screenshots from a test build on the Galaxy S26, the update is expected to feature a 'Liquid Glass' design language, characterized by increased transparency, shinier edges on widgets, and enhanced visual depth through subtle backdrop shading.
Key functional additions include a native App Lock feature, allowing users to secure individual applications with biometrics or a PIN without using Secure Folder. Another major feature, 'App Mirroring,' may allow Galaxy users to wirelessly access phone apps and notifications on a compatible laptop, similar to Apple’s iPhone Mirroring.
Other reported refinements include smoother home-screen animations, a redesigned camera interface with more rounded menus and improved icon consistency, and a revamped fingerprint enrollment UI. The update is anticipated to debut with the Galaxy S27 series in early 2027.
