Samsung One UI 9 update causes system lockouts on some devices

Some Samsung smartphone users are experiencing system issues following the installation of the One UI 9 update. Affected devices reportedly become stuck on an error page displaying a warning message instead of the standard changelog, which effectively blocks access to the phone.

Reports suggest the issue stems from a server-side technical measure implemented by Samsung to prevent unintended firmware leaks. A standard restart is reportedly insufficient to resolve the lockout.

To bypass the error, users can attempt a specific booting procedure: hold the volume down and power buttons simultaneously to force a restart. Once the company logo appears, pressing the volume down button again should enter Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, users should activate Airplane Mode before performing a regular restart. After the device reboots, Airplane Mode must be manually deactivated to restore mobile and Wi-Fi connectivity.
