Samsung Galaxy S27 series leaks reveal design and hardware updates

Leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 flagship series suggest a potential early launch in January or February 2027. The lineup is expected to include four models: the S27, S27+, a new S27 Pro, and the S27 Ultra.

Design changes are anticipated for the premium models. While the standard S27 and S27+ may retain a vertical camera layout, the S27 Pro and Ultra are rumored to feature a wide horizontal camera bar. This design change may accommodate built-in Qi2 magnets for improved magnetic wireless charging. Display sizes are estimated at 6.27 inches for the S27, 6.66 inches for the S27+, 6.47 inches for the Pro, and 6.89 inches for the Ultra.

Hardware upgrades include the potential use of silicon-carbon batteries to increase capacity, with the Ultra potentially reaching 5,700mAh and the Pro 5,200mAh. To manage rising component costs, Samsung may utilize the Exynos 2700 chip in certain regions and might opt for LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage across the lineup instead of the more expensive LPDDR6 and UFS 5.0 standards.

Additionally, a new M2700 5G modem integrated with the Exynos 2700 is expected to improve energy efficiency and connectivity performance.
