Samsung pulls Vascular Load health feature from US Galaxy Watches

Samsung announced that the experimental Vascular Load health metric will be discontinued for United States users of its Galaxy Watch line. A notice posted in the Samsung Health app informs users that the feature will disappear with version 7.0 of the app and the One UI 9 Watch update expected in July. The change applies only to US devices; the feature will remain available in other markets and users can download their existing data before it is removed.

The company says it will replace Vascular Load with a new "Blood Pressure Trends" function that periodically measures blood pressure and displays long‑term patterns, a wellness‑only tool slated for the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Samsung has not given an official reason for the removal, but observers link it to FDA scrutiny of wearable cardiovascular measurements. The shift reflects ongoing regulatory tension around health‑related smartwatch capabilities.
