Samsung raises smartphone prices for multiple Galaxy models in India

Samsung has implemented multiple price increases for several smartphone models in India. The Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 saw price hikes effective September 6, marking the second increase for these models in three weeks. For the Galaxy A57, the 8GB/256GB variant rose to ₹62,999, while the 12GB version increased to ₹72,499. The Galaxy A37 also saw increases ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 depending on the configuration.

Additionally, the Galaxy M47 5G and Galaxy F70 Pro 5G received a ₹3,000 price hike across all RAM and storage variants, effective September 9. These increases have made these models significantly more expensive than their original launch prices.

Samsung has not officially stated the reasons for these specific hikes, but the company’s second-quarter results attributed recent losses in its mobile and networks business to “elevated component cost pressures across the industry.” High demand for memory components from AI data centers has driven up prices for DRAM and NAND chips, impacting handset manufacturers.
