Samsung developing Galaxy H1 premium over-ear headphones

Samsung is reportedly developing a new line of premium over-ear wireless headphones, internally codenamed “Galaxy H1”. This project marks the company’s potential return to the high-end over-ear market, a segment it has largely left to focus on the Galaxy Buds in-ear series since approximately 2014-2015.

Evidence of the development was discovered within the Galaxy Wearable app, where code strings and graphics suggest a large-format headphone design. While official specifications have not been confirmed, leaks indicate the device may feature Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, active noise cancellation (ANC), and support for Samsung’s proprietary Seamless Ultra-High Quality (SSC UHQ) audio codec. Other speculated features include AI assistant integration, ambient sound modes, and improved battery life compared to existing in-ear models.

The Galaxy H1 is expected to compete directly with established premium products such as Apple’s AirPods Max and Sony’s WH-1000X series. Industry speculation suggests a potential launch as early as 2027.
