Samsung refurbished phones and Arte’s eco‑series spotlight French sustainability choices
Companies are reassessing equipment purchases by comparing new Samsung smartphones with refurbished models such as the Galaxy S21 and Note 20. Refurbished devices promise lower acquisition costs, reduced electronic waste, and warranties that support corporate sustainability goals, a consideration highlighted for businesses planning through 2026.
At the same time, French public broadcaster Arte has launched the eight‑part animated series “Écolo mon cul,” debuting on 13 July. The short episodes follow characters Silex and Ventilo as they confront everyday ecological dilemmas—paper versus plastic, new versus refurbished phones, electric versus thermal cars—guided by the “Voice of the Earth,” voiced by Dorothée Pousséo. The series aims to question consumer assumptions and promote clearer understanding of environmental issues.
