Samsung reportedly planning S27 series and expanded foldable lineup

Leaked information suggests Samsung is planning significant hardware expansions for its mobile lineup through 2027. For the upcoming Galaxy S27 series, reports indicate a potential new addition called the S27 Pro. While the base S27 and S27+ models may utilize LPDDR5x RAM, the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are expected to feature the new LPDDR6 standard and UFS 5.1 storage. RAM configurations for the series are expected to range from 12 GB to 16 GB, with storage options starting at 256 GB.

Regarding foldable technology, Samsung is reportedly preparing to expand its catalog to five different foldable models by 2027. This lineup could include the Galaxy Z Flip9, Galaxy Z Fold9, a Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra, a Galaxy Z TriFold 2, and a fifth variant of the Fold series featuring a screen optimized specifically for video playback. This strategy aims to diversify screen formats and meet varying consumer needs through multiple hinge designs and aspect ratios.
