Samsung rolls out July security patches for Galaxy watches and phones

Samsung issued a July 2026 security update for its Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic models, delivering the patch before the latest Galaxy smartphones receive the same level of protection. The update focuses solely on security and system maintenance, with no new health features, UI changes, or Wear OS 7 functionality.

The same month, Samsung began distributing a separate July security patch for its recent Galaxy phones, addressing 57 vulnerabilities—41 from Google’s Android codebase and 16 from Samsung’s One UI layer. Affected devices include the Galaxy S26 series, S25 series, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. The update also brings general performance and stability improvements but adds no visible new features.
