Samsung expands One UI 9 testing to Galaxy A25 and other mid‑range devices
Samsung has begun internal testing of its upcoming One UI 9 interface, built on Android 17, for the mid‑range Galaxy A25 smartphone. The build, identified as version A256BXXUCFZF1, was detected on Samsung’s servers and indicates the company is accelerating software support for budget and mid‑range models.
The testing program now covers a broad set of devices beyond the flagship S26 series, including Galaxy A07, A16, A17, A25, A34, A35, A55, A56 and A57, as well as several Galaxy Tab S tablets. Samsung also plans to ship One UI 9 pre‑installed on its next foldable lineup—Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8—at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for 22 July 2026 in London.
Internal test builds have been uploaded for more than 40 Samsung devices, spanning the A, S, and Z series. While the public beta remains limited to the flagship S26 series, the company’s expanded testing signals a commitment to longer software life‑cycles for its mid‑range portfolio.
