Leaked images from a Samsung app, first seen by SamMobile, show an open‑ear clip‑on design that uses air‑conduction technology and is being referred to internally as “Galaxy Buds Able” or “Galaxy Buds On”. The earbuds are expected to ship in a USB‑C charging case with water and dust resistance and may include active noise cancellation.
In parallel, Samsung is developing a distinct ear‑hook version aimed at fitness and running users. The prototype, codenamed “Buds Canal 5”, features flat hooks that wrap around the ear and may offer either a full in‑ear tip for stronger passive isolation or a half‑in‑ear tip for comfort. Both designs could be announced as early as September, potentially alongside the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE and Samsung tablet releases.
