Samsung SDI to sponsor South Korean International Chemistry Olympiad team

Samsung SDI has signed an agreement with the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity and the Korean Chemical Society to officially sponsor the South Korean delegation for the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).

Starting in January next year, the sponsorship will cover the entire process of supporting the national team, including education, selection, and participation in the competition. Additionally, Samsung SDI will provide scholarships to award winners. The company stated that the initiative aims to support basic science talent in competing on the global stage, thereby enhancing national scientific and technological competitiveness.

The International Chemistry Olympiad is an annual competition where high school students from around the world compete in chemistry. The 59th IChO is scheduled to take place in Taipei, Taiwan, from July 19 to 28 next year.
