Samsung SDS expands AI partnerships with OpenAI and Anthropic

Samsung SDS is accelerating its AI transformation (AX) strategy through expanded partnerships with global AI leaders OpenAI and Anthropic. During its Real Summit 2026, the company announced it has become the first South Korean organization to join OpenAI’s Daybreak Partner Program, focusing on integrating frontier AI models into cybersecurity workflows. Additionally, Samsung SDS is building on a strategic partnership with Anthropic to identify new AX business opportunities and accelerate the adoption of Claude models across the Samsung ecosystem.

To drive these innovations, Samsung SDS is employing a ‘client zero’ strategy, testing AX solutions within its own internal processes—such as development, procurement, and quality management—before deploying them to customers. The company aims to move beyond simple automation toward a fundamental redesign of business processes.

In the manufacturing sector, Skyworldwide is also expanding its industrial AI data platform, Ontobia, to support the AI transition in industries like shipbuilding, semiconductors, and energy. Meanwhile, BigWave Robotics has partnered with Space Factory to deploy humanoid robots in modular housing production starting in 2026, targeting complex tasks like insulation installation to move toward fully automated ‘dark factories’.
