Samsung SDS partners with Dunamu to build stablecoin infrastructure

Samsung SDS announced a partnership with Dunamu, the operator of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, to develop a full stablecoin lifecycle and broader digital‑asset infrastructure. The collaboration will combine Samsung SDS’s cloud, cybersecurity and AI capabilities with Dunamu’s blockchain expertise, targeting stablecoin issuance, settlement, digital‑asset management and AI‑driven payment models.

The partnership follows a strategic investment made in May, when Samsung SDS, Samsung Securities and Samsung Card acquired a combined 4 % stake in Dunamu. Samsung SDS CEO Lee Jun‑hee highlighted the move as part of the company’s push into digital finance, noting recent growth in its AI and cloud businesses and the alignment with South Korea’s evolving crypto regulatory framework.
