Samsung Smart TV 2026 Line‑up Receives BSI IT‑Security Certification

Samsung Electronics announced that its complete 2026 Smart‑TV portfolio – including Micro RGB, OLED and Neo QLED models – has been awarded the IT‑Security label by Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The certification confirms that the devices meet the European standard ETSI EN 303 645 for smart consumer products, covering secure authentication, update management and encrypted communication. The label is listed in the BSI database, giving buyers a transparent reference for privacy and data‑security when choosing a television.

Samsung highlighted the growing importance of security in connected home entertainment, noting that three‑quarters of German consumers consider privacy a key purchase factor, yet only a small minority feel well‑informed. “Televisions are now networked platforms for home entertainment, so trust in device security is increasingly vital for purchase decisions,” said Mike Henkelmann, Director of Marketing Consumer Electronics at Samsung Electronics GmbH. The company previously received the same label for its 2025 TV line‑up.
