Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A08, an entry-level smartphone, in the Indian and Philippine markets. The device is designed for everyday tasks and features a 6,000mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade for its segment.
In India, the Galaxy A08 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99+ processor, offering improved single-core and multi-core performance compared to the previous Galaxy A06. The handset includes a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main rear camera, and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The device also introduces AI-assisted features and comes with a promise of six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches.
In the Philippines, the Galaxy A08 is being marketed with a focus on productivity and mobile AI tools, such as Circle to Search with Google. The Philippine launch includes promotional pricing and highlights the device's IP64 dust and splash resistance and Knox Vault security.
