Samsung eyes return of S Pen support for future Galaxy Z Fold models

Samsung has removed S Pen support from its recent Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Fold 8 devices to achieve a slimmer, lighter design. Executives, including HS Moon, Executive Vice President, say the company is now researching new engineering solutions that could combine a thinner chassis with a built‑in digitizer, allowing the stylus to return in later generations.

The company indicated that while no official commitment has been made for the upcoming Fold 9, work continues to explore how the digitizer can be made thinner without sacrificing the device’s slim profile. Samsung stresses it is closely monitoring user feedback and will assess the feasibility of reinstating the S Pen after further product releases.
