Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer showcases Hulk, Punisher and a new mystery villain

Sony has released a new trailer for the upcoming Marvel film Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, slated for worldwide release on 31 July 2026. The preview confirms the return of Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, and hints at additional foes such as Scorpion and an unnamed telepathic antagonist that may be linked to a mutant power. The trailer also reveals Peter Parker’s physical evolution – he begins to produce webbing organically – and shows him seeking help from Banner to control the changes.

The marketing partnership with Samsung places Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 devices directly into the story, while a “Spidey Tracker” website will go live on 17 June 2026 for fans to log sightings. The campaign will roll out in 35 countries.

In parallel, Tom Holland has spoken to Esquire about a future successor for the role, naming 16‑year‑old Owen Cooper – the Emmy‑winning star of Netflix’s Adolescence – as “awesome” and offering to mentor him, echoing his own mentorship by Robert Downey Jr. The trailer’s first release broke the one‑billion‑view mark in four days, underscoring the film’s massive audience anticipation.
